MICROPHONES
To record our interviews and our radio programme we used two different kinds of microphones; one of them was a portable microphone which allowed us to go out and interview people outside of school which allowed us to explore the thoughts of people that weren't just our age, which was the benefit of having and using a portable microphone. The other microphone we used was a USB microphone which was a much more professional piece of recording kit and meant we had to stay in the classroom to record our programme, it plugs into the USB port in the computer and is therefore unable to be moved outside of the school unless using a laptop.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In our group all three of us had different responsibilities. Faisal was undeniably the brains of the group as he guided me and Jay on where we were both going wrong on our blogs and also on Audacity as Jay and I weren't very good at using it, but we got used to it in the end. Faisal also wrote the script, however I did most of the wording involved in the script. Jay and I shared researching the topics to speak about in the programme, in fact we thought of all of the topics. I was doing lots and lots of research into each topic, for example going on Google and looking up Sensations Popcorn, then going on news. I was responsible for pretty much all of the secondary research and Jay was responsible for almost all of the primary research as I wasn't present when they interviewed people with the portable microphone.
AUDIENCE RESEARCH

Audience Research
To decide what topics would come up in our radio show, I had chose to ask our target audience some questions that were involved with movies as that is what our show will be about.
Useful Tools
This tool allows you to make your recording lowder and you can choose how much louder you want the recording by raising the Amplification to make it louder or lower the Amplification which would make the recording lower. This affect can be very useful when you want to have a voice recording over a jingle or song because you can make the voice recording louder than the jingle or music but still be able to hear the background music/jingle.
When you have multiple tracks on one audacity file then it can often be quite a hassle to listen to just one of the tracks without going through and muting all the other tracks which is why the 'Solo' tool is useful as when you select solo on one of the tracks it mutes the other tracks so that you can listen to the one track you selected.
This tool allows you to move the seperate recordings to wherever you'd like which can be very useful as it allows you to make your recordings flow from one into another instead of there being a big gap between each recording.
The Chosen Topics
The topic that our group decided to talk about in general is film which is why we've called our radio show 'Movieholics FM', this is because of the wide variety of sub-topics that we could discuss in the show and of course due to our general interest in movies and films. The topics that we discuss in our magazine style radio show are the 4D cinema that has recently been opened in Milton Keynes, the second topic that's brought up is the new Sensations popcorns which would interest film fanatics as popcorn is the most typical food that an audience would eat whilst enjoying a film and the final topic that we talk about is the new Netflix update which interests movie lovers because Netflix is full of films and TV programmes that aren't shown anywhere else and they've added even more movies and TV programmes to the constantly increasing list of options, we also talk about how Netflix are winning the battle with cable television providers as Netflix succeed in showing a much wider variety of movies and films from the UK and other parts of Europe.
